We have listed below a small selection of the many testimonials we receive from our satisfied clients.
Assault
Mr. K - "I was charged with 2 assaults. I was at a nightclub when a bouncer said that I was responsible for attacking another customer. I had no idea what he was talking about. He took me into a private area where he became aggressive. I tried to get away from him, but he threw me to the ground. The police turned up and he said that I had headbutted him.
I had been drinking a bit and the police didn't want to listen to me. I was charged and went to court. My STREET LEGAL solicitor had discovered that the bouncer had a conviction that he had not disclosed and was able to show that he was a liar.
I was found not guilty and got all my expenses paid."
STREET LEGAL says - in this case we used legislation designed to help the prosecution to reveal that the main prosecution witness was dishonest. As Mr K was of good character it was easy for the court to find him not guilty.
Mr D - "I was working in a bar when I had to deal with a drunk man. His friends did not like me intervening and became aggressive. I ushered them outside, but a girl called the police and said that I had assaulted her by kicking her and dragging her out by the hair.
The police believed her and said that as she was a nurse it was unlikely that she was lying.
I went to trial. My STREET LEGAL solicitor had thoroughly prepared for the trial and cross-examined the complainant about what had happened. He then played the CCTV footage that he had obtained and showed that the woman had actually assaulted me. The case collapsed and I was found not guilty."
STREET LEGAL says - We made our own investigation and discovered that the police had not seized the CCTV from the bar. By careful cross-examination we proved the witnesses had colluded and embellished their stories whilst talking together in the police car.
Murder
Mr M - "I was charged with being involved in a murder conspiracy. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but it was nothing to do with me. I was just out with friends.
The police tried to implicate me with evidence about my mobile telephone being close to the scene and my car being observed close by. All of this was true, but was nothing to do with a murder plot.
At trial my STREET LEGAL solicitor prepared a file that was given to the jury that showed me at various points during the evening trying to chat up girls and laughing and joking with friends. The jury accepted that I was not plotting to murder, but was just out having a good time."
STREET LEGAL says - as we are members of the specialist VHCC panel, we have access to greater funding than other criminal defence solicitors. We were able to secure and examine the CCTV footage from dozens of cameras from clubs, bars and the council systems from the area that our client was in. We then compiled a series of images of Mr M showing his activites throughout the evening. It was clear that he was just socialising and not part of a sinister murder plot. He was found not guilty.
